Biography

George Hrycun is a contemporary American artist who works primarily in drawing while using a variety of media in his practice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he currently lives and works in Scio, NY. His undergraduate degrees were in Sculpture and Biology from SUNY at Potsdam, NY. Graduate work in Sculpture took place at the University of Colorado in Boulder.

His work employs drawing as a tool to express compelling visual illusions.

He exhibits throughout the country in various venues, most notably at OK Harris in New York. Recipient of a NYFA grant in drawing, his work is in the collections of Malcolm Forbes, William Gates, Ivan and Marilyn Karp, Atlantic Richfield Corp. and others.
