“Break on through to the other side.” This phrasing from the Door’s song of the same name captured my interest as to how those words could manifest visually. Scrutinizing the words individually suggest impressions, impressions of the human condition. The tears offer a symbolic peek to either hope or reality. The visual symbolism employed is intended to be subtle. The titles, for some of the work, are Ukrainian words spelled phonetically in English. These headings are the indicators for interpretive consideration.
